Heat Treating

Aeron Group has heat treat capabilities for meeting and certifying to AMS 2770 and to other specifications with customer specific approval. Our heat treating equipment is certified and verification is performed using percent conductivity and hardness testing.

The following are current heat treat capabilities:

• Alloys: Aluminum 2XXX, 6XXX and 7075 (Bare or Cladded)
• Tempers: T4, T42, T6 and T62
• Anneal: Only to remove cold working during processing.
• Cross Section Thickness: 0.250” and less
• Quench Solution: Water
• Environment: Atmosphere

Welding

Aeron’s certified welders fusion tig weld a variety of alloys including aluminum, stainless steel and nickel alloys to aerospace industry standard AWS D17.1. Our onsite welding allows for expedited service of small to large more complex weldments. With our fully equipped tooling department we are able to produce fixtures to ensure accurate and repeatable weldments.
